It was a mistake, the Air Force says -- and the public was never in danger. But nevertheless, a B-52 armed with six nuclear warheads flew for more than three hours last week across several states. They meant to take the warheads off the missiles before they mounted them under the wings, but somebody goofed. A commander is fired over the incident.
